Maintenance

POSTED AT 10:50 on 7th June 2007

We will be doing some upgrades and general maintenance to the site this morning at around 12pm (BST). We don’t expect too much downtime (only 5-10 mins) but just wanted to keep everybody posted.

The updates made today will make future expansion of the service easier and aids us in producing a public API (more on that another time).

Update: All updates have been installed without issue and we suffered only a minute or two downtime during the process.

POSTED AT 16:47 on 12th May 2007

You can track your tasks in Firefox using live bookmarks. This allows you to always have your task list at the tip of your fingers and complete any tasks with a click of the mouse. To create the live bookmark you need to do the following:

1) After logging into your tweeto account click on the RSS icon on the right hand menu or in the browsers address bar.

How-to: Edit tasks

POSTED AT 18:38 on 11th May 2007

Editing your tasks with tweeto couldn’t be simpler. If you have javascript enabled in your browser just double click on the task you wish to edit and then make any changes in the form at the top of the page. For the degraded non-javascript version you just have to click on the task once and the edit form will open on a new page.

How-to: Manage your tasks priority

POSTED AT 10:20 on 10th May 2007

There is no specific way to manage task priorities with tweeto, but we do have other features that let you create your own system to manage priorities - which gives you more control and you can do it the way that works best for you!

Method 1 - Colored Labels
The first method is to create your own color system to identify priority and then use the colored labels to mark your tasks. E.g.

Red = Urgent
Yellow = Can be rescheduled
Green = No deadline

colored labels on tasks to show priority

Method 2 - Tags
The second method is to simply tag your tasks with a priority. This has the added benefit over the first method of being able to filter your tasks by individual tags.

You could then also use a mixture of both methods to create a more detailed system, but the real benefit of this is that you can create your own system to match your own work flows and so tweeto won’t get in your way as much as many other task managers that force you to work in a certain way.

Email Task List

POSTED AT 16:29 on 9th May 2007

We have justed launched the first of our email features!

This new feature allows you to email your task list, or a filtered version of it, to yourself or anybody with an email address. We have been using it internally to send each other lists of things to do and are finding it incredible useful for managing our projects and clients requests.

You can access the new feature by clicking on the little email icon on the right menu and the form will appear for you to provide the email address and intro message.

Let us know what you think and how you use the feature.

Enjoy!
